Cedar & Gum Business Solutions was founded by Jess Coleman, whose journey bridges two places she calls home: Canada and Australia. The name reflects this connection, drawing on two iconic trees that represent strength, resilience, and growth.
Cedar Trees (Canada): Cedars are known for their durability, adaptability, and timeless presence. In many cultures, they symbolize protection, grounding, and wisdom. For us, the cedar represents Jess’s Canadian roots and the solid foundation every business needs to thrive.
Gum Trees (Australia): Gum trees, a defining feature of the Australian landscape, stand tall and flexible in challenging conditions. They regenerate after fire and endure through harsh climates. For us, the gum symbolizes Jess’s Australian home and the resilience, innovation, and adaptability required to succeed in business.

Meet The Founder

Hi, I'm Jess.
As a mother of three, small business owner, and immigrant, I understand the demands of "life admin" and the importance of meeting personal and professional goals. I have personal experience assisting intellectuals with neurodivergence and provide a non-judgmental approach to tasks. After moving across the globe three times, I am an organizational superhero. Across my professional and personal life, I wear many hats. My skills include marketing, digital design, correspondence, customer service, business processes, and general "adulting". With my team, I work dilligently to provide support for our clients across many sectors.
Humble Beginnings.
My career as a VA began during the Covid Pandemic, when a family member needed assistance with online banking, payroll and inbox management. In 2021, my family and I moved to Canada to live off the grid in the woods. This meant no internet connection. The situation didn't stop me from continuing on with my business. Hot-spotting my mobile data to my laptop to complete my client work became my new norm, and I had to work quickly to achieve my tasks before the connection became unstable.
